Nice avatar, starz.

You've obviously put a lot of effort into that. Keep it close to your heart.

Of course the main reason why Wagon Wheels - and many other similar confections arent as nice as they used to be is that they are now covered in "Milk chocolate FLAVOUR coating" and not real milk chocolate as they were when I was a sprog.
Check out the list of ingredients and see for yourself.
And they ARE smaller as well.

? This place has become impossible. Nothing to eat, freezing cold and now a madman on the prowl outside with eels.

Confusingly, the flavour of Wagon Wheel currently marketed as "Original" actually features a chocolate favour biscuit - whereas the biscuits used in the recipe most beloved of UK fans (circa the mid-1970s) was in fact plain.

Original
Jammie
Toffee
Double Choc
Orange

Yay Jammie :)

Says you with the picture of one Monsieur Johnny Depp?
Just so you know, the copyright of photos is held by the person who took the photo.

I didn't realise Wagon Wheels cam in so many different flavours! I remember them in a white packet with a plain biscuit and with jam. Or red stuff that might have been loosely labelled as jam in the days before the trades descriptions act came in.

I only remember the "original" as well. As you say, what actually constitiues "jam" is a matter for debate.
It was red its true. and it did have a sort of jammy consistency, but it never had much taste.
Still buy them occasionally when I get the urge..............
