It's the name used in America. The company were worried the pathetic Bible belt of the US would think 'Ulay' sounded sexually suggestive ('You lay').

Another use for Oil of Olay? :twisted:

And believe it or not, Olay really is what it's been called in Spain, ever since the 70's at least. They pronounce it oh-lye, though, so it's not something thought of by the ol?-chanters when Real Madrid are playing keep-ball...
