Kipper ties

Post by verytalldave » Sun Feb 04, 2007 9:39 am

SO wide that the knot ended up as big as your neck - almost.
I must have had dozens. I wish I kept them - I could have had them all sewn together and had a duvet cover made.

Two reasons.
One was the shape. The tie was as wide as a kipper.
And the other reason was that there was actually a make of tie at the time called "Kipper".

Don't ask for a kipper tie in Birmingham - you'll get a cup of lukewarm brown liquid
? I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze.
? This place has become impossible. Nothing to eat, freezing cold and now a madman on the prowl outside with eels.

I had a good collection of kipper ties in psychedelic and paisley patterns.

No. But someone I know once spent two hours talking to his reflection in a mirror in the toilets of a Burger King. He is about 30, now by the by.

Does anyone believe the crap about Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds being based on LSD? Cos apparently, John Lennon's son showed Paul a picture he'd done, and when asked what it was he said "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." mind you- it is a pretty song, like "I Am the Walrus"...
