Not seen nowadays - except in "posh" areas.
I remember my mum would put me in short trousers for the spring, summer and autumn terms - right up to about when I was 10. Long trousers only when it got really cold.
God...............how I hated those short trousers.

I had to wear them in winter, too, until the second year of senior school...

I HATE SCHOOL

I know I'm stating the bleeding obvious, but... in ten years time you'll wish you were back there.

Not necessarily. Being at school was the unhappiest period of my life.

I didn't enjoy it until the sixth form - I was bullied a lot until then.

Sixth form was great - you could release all the aggro you got from the previous 5 years on the scroats in lower years and get away with it, cos you were a prefect.

I hated school as well.
I actually pity people who think that your school days are the best days of your life. You don't actually spend that many years of your life at school, and it's never ever going to get better than that in the next 60 years or more? I don't think so.
I am so much happier now than I was at school.
Oh, and I think school uniforms are a good thing.

Have I finished my homework yet? DAMN, no- and it's due in today. A mahoosive essay that I am nowhere near finishing. 8000 words to write on the trenches of WW1. Woo. [/quote]

I hope you've got a good excuse for the teacher...

Why the hell is a quote in brackets at the end of my sentence? And actually there is NO SCHOOL TODAY! Woot! That's a good enough excuse. I'm ill- no really. I apparently have a temperature and I'm on the computer... how clever.

Nothing to do with that essay you didn't finish, then?
I have a temperature too. About 36.8 degrees, I'd say. Maybe less, actually, given how cold it is in here.

No. I caught the bug off my Dad last night. Of course it happens to be the most perfect timing ever! I swear I've just sneezed- and the largest string of snotty bogey just came out of my nose and landed on my typing hand. That is just so Damn disgusting, I may puke. Yes, with a capital D.
