I'll settle for Duchess of Puke, but it doesn't have quite the same ring to it...

My school uniform was maroon, a colour I despised and avoided for many years until I discovered that if you call it aubergine or claret it is a bit more appealing, and now, strangely enough, it suits me.

Thats the colour Dave, not the uniform, before you comment.

There was a school just up the road from me had uniforms like that. Still, they were better than the sh!t brown colour of another nearby school...

Yes we had a catholic boys school and a catholic girls school not connected but both had poo brown uniforms.
Really unfortunate for ginger haired kids.

We had a school that until recently was a girl's school- and they had to wear yellow shirts or dresses and poo brown trousers (or not, if they wore dresses) and jumper! They were called they pooey wee girls. And not wee as in small. It was a bit before my time- my sister had to fill me in on that one.

My primary school uniform was brown, we had a brown and yellow stripey tie which made us look like a swarm of angry wasps. I hated high school, when I could be bothered to go anyway. I can't say that I really like work but at least I get paid to be here! Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_27

Mitzy, you say you "get paid to be here."
Does that mean you are skivving now....still? Good show !

From class 1 at primary you learn to skive.

Lesson 1 " I'm just making a card, miss."
I made cards for every occasion based on this skive. My mum still has one I made that says.

" Plez mae I see my pumps ."

( I had asked her to replace my little black P.E pumps with something a bit more " Jamie Summers so I could run faster. )[/quote]
