The good, the bad and the downright awful. Don't forget the Saturday morning flicks

Kathy come home

Post by charliechops » Sat Apr 09, 2005 3:26 pm

Hard hitting tale of woe made in the sixties although I'm not sure if it was a film, a T.V drama or what. All I remember was watching it at school during our leavers programme. Our deputy head said very little by way of introduction other than, "Let this be a lesson to all of you, especially the girls." I think the husband in it was played by Ray Brooks who narrated Mr Ben.

I saw it: it was one of those 'important' films that every student worth his salt had to see.

So important I can't remember a damn thing about it except it talked about something that 'nice people' didn't mention (like so many earnest flicks that were made redundant the minute Monty Python used ridicule in preference to preaching.)
Sworn, b'loody!
