Seeing as it's the Oscars this weekend (Feb'26th) how about looking back at films that "SHOULD" have won an Oscar for "Best Film" but didn't..............

Shawshank Redemption

Post by charliechops » Wed Feb 23, 2005 7:46 pm

Shawshank, what a great film this was, my personal favourite film ever. Suberbly acted by all concerned and a brilliant script. Nice and long too so you really get lost in it. It's a heartwarming tale of a man's titanic struggle to survive against adversity. Not cheesey or far fetched rubbish like most films today. If anyone out there hasn't seen it yet for some reason, go hire it, or you'll regret it for the rest of your lives. Based on the Stephen King novel, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption. "Get busy living, or get busy dying."
