Did anyone watch Richard & Judy tonight :?:

Great piece about Hope & Greenwood and their sweetshop. An article can be found about them at:

Please, Eccles - don't do this to me! Any more of these online sweetie shops, and I'm going to succumb...

Black bullets, Aniseed balls.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
? I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze.
? This place has become impossible. Nothing to eat, freezing cold and now a madman on the prowl outside with eels.

While in the Lakes, I found a cracking old-fashioned sweetie shop. They have an online service as well:

Yes, I bought some black bullets and aniseed balls... 8)

I just visited a similar shop in Wensleydale last week, it was so cool, still no cola chews though

I also went to CyberCandy in Covent Garden recently and bought a Twinkie as they are forever mentioned in American films and books ... it was ok!

American junk food:

If your Twinkie was 35 feet long, and weighed 600 pounds, it would represent the PK energy in New York... 8)

It wasn't really sickly (certainly much less so than say a jam doughnut) however I am not really a cake fan so was not too impressed, just wanted to be able to say that I have tried one.
