Monkey!

Like Superman on the radio (great for the imagination), likewise Journey Into Space, or the TeleGoons. Showing my age now!!

There's new version out now......not a patch on the old one and they all speak english......no dubbing.

Poor monkey must have had a bald chest after all that hair pulling :!:

Used to be essential friday night viewing in our house.

Routine was:

Home from School
Shopping at Tescos
Home
Vesta Curry in front of the TV with Monkey

Happy Days!!

We were talking about Monket at work t'other week, and I was trying hard to describe it to a non-Monkey-viewer. I failed dismally!

How would you explain it to someone who has never heard of Monkey, if you were trying to encourage them to watch it?
? I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze.
? This place has become impossible. Nothing to eat, freezing cold and now a madman on the prowl outside with eels.

You could go all literal on them.
"It's the tale of a young buddist priest who travels from China to Tibet, to retrieve some ancient scriptures, aided and protected by three minor gods ( the pig god, the river god and the monkey god). However that doesn't really do it justice.

I did try something along those lines, but like you said, I couldn't do it justice.

You didn't mention the magic cloud...
