ok who remembers monkey. fantastic! it took it in turns with the water margin which was another classic with ling chung.

There's new version out now......not a patch on the old one and they all speak english......no dubbing.

We were talking about Monket at work t'other week, and I was trying hard to describe it to a non-Monkey-viewer. I failed dismally!

How would you explain it to someone who has never heard of Monkey, if you were trying to encourage them to watch it?

You could go all literal on them.
"It's the tale of a young buddist priest who travels from China to Tibet, to retrieve some ancient scriptures, aided and protected by three minor gods ( the pig god, the river god and the monkey god). However that doesn't really do it justice.
