Richard Briars & Aide Edmonson sitcom

Like Superman on the radio (great for the imagination), likewise Journey Into Space, or the TeleGoons. Showing my age now!!

Does anyone remember this show? Pulled because it was deemed insensitive to sufferers of dementia.
Richard Briars was Aide Edmondsons dad. cant remember much about it but it was very funny.

Quite a dark sitcom.

Started off with Briers's wife being murdered by football hooligans (off camera).

So glad someone recalls it.
It was way ahead of its time, I hope they show it again.
By the way...
