Batman

Like Superman on the radio (great for the imagination), likewise Journey Into Space, or the TeleGoons. Showing my age now!!

HOLY RAVIOLI!!!

What a shame this series hasn't been released on DVD yet in the UK. (Although you can get the 1966 movie). It was a gem - beautiful straight-faced delivery of wonderfully camp comedy. Adam West (Batman) and Burt Ward (Robin) and such a delicious cast of baddies. This is not repeated nearly enough on TV.

And what about the Batmobile? I'd love a car like that.

I watched a programme once, where Adam West was telling of all the restrictions the censors put on them, including the fact that they had to tape their genitalia so that they didn't have too big a bulge at the front, and outrage the moral decency of the American people. This, and other ridiculous restrictions, was one of the reasons why they camped it up so much.

I'm in heaven! They're repeating Batman again - BBC4 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7.30pm. Holy hole-in-a-doughnut!

I've got a book all about the Batman shows, full of facts and trivia. It also lists all the "Holy ..." things that Robin said. But now I've found it's not completely accurate - last night, Robin said "Holy barracuda" - and it's not on the list!

I'm getting geekier by the day.

See what happens when you hang around with Dave too much...

(Who said I'm a bigger geek than Dave? )

? This place has become impossible. Nothing to eat, freezing cold and now a madman on the prowl outside with eels.

 I'm not geeky just 'cos I watch Batman, it's a classic.

Kool was a little bit too honest admitting to having a book of trivia about Batman. That is the sort of thing we've come to expect from you, Bluey.

Sadly, a Batman trivia book is one that is missing from my collection... :?

I think Kool should offer us some of those facts and trivia... :)
