Going for gold

Like Superman on the radio (great for the imagination), likewise Journey Into Space, or the TeleGoons. Showing my age now!!

I hated this show and for years thought Henry Kelly was Matthew Kellys brother after seeing them together on Game for a laugh.

Very ignorant I know, but I did not even realise that there was a country called Luxemburg until I watched Going for Gold.

But do you know what the capital is called?
? I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze.
? This place has become impossible. Nothing to eat, freezing cold and now a madman on the prowl outside with eels.

Radio, wall of sound, coming up from my tower...

With an english speaking host, you would have expected the British contestants to have had the edge on those who spoke it as a second language. But no, they wiped the floor with our lot.
Just shows to go you!

Was Henry Kelly actually speaking English tho? I had a hard time understanding him sometimes...

Even so, they understood him better than we did. And thus were victorious.
