Oh yes, they were yummy. Mind you, they had chocolate on - and almost anything with chocolate on is yummy.

(I just edited this and added the "almost", before any cleverclogs got going...)

I know it's only just gone, but I really miss the digital radio station "thejazz".

Fifty years from now, will any of the 'Chick-lit' books be on the schools' English Lit curriculum? Surely school exams will never dumb down that far? Fluffy 'chick-lit', or those Westerns novels, (neither of which I've read, so I shouldn't really be making assumptions), will hopefully still be outc...

Really? I missed that one - sounds great! :P No disrespect to yesterday's 12-year old singer, but I do hope the winner isn't another classical music performer. What is it about classical music that instantly entrances the audience? I've got an awful feeling that either she or the electric string qua...

Britain's Got Talent

Anyone watching this? I thought tonight's show was excellent - very difficult to decide. The boy dancing in the rain was very good, but personally, I loved the hula-hoop group. Best couple of minutes of entertainment I've seen in ages. And so many good acts, I couldn't begin to predict who's going t...

I did; I repeat: Could it (i.e. why we are here) also be to Bring it Back? I'm sorry, Xetal - I thought that was a rhetorical one. Should have known that you'd be on the ball. Are we here to Bring it Back? That's a beautiful philosophical quandary - are we here, specifically so that we can reminisc...

Ice Cream van tunes

Anyone remember any ice cream van tunes? We used to have one that played "I'm Popeye the Sailorman" - which was very off-putting. The thought of spinach-flavoured ice cream - yuk! And has anyone ever worked on an ice cream van? Doesn't that tune going on and on and on and on ... drive you round the ...

Re: Bring It Back Website

I guess the Bring It Back website is being discontinued! Or at least as I knew it! I used to enjoy visiting, and getting my fix of memories. I think regular contributors find it hard to keep coming up with memories - especially as we're all getting older and more forgetful every day! We need more i...

What happened there?!

I deleted the last bit, because I then read the instructions carefully and found Eccles had already explained what happens if there's a tie, (the winner is drawn at random). But somat went wrong!! Doh!

Is there a tie-breaker, Eccles? What happens in the unlikely event you get lots of people with the right answers - or is it the first one to get them right?

May be I should have called this thread "Come back, Parkinson"?!

Can't wait any longer (again), so here's the next question.

Eccles asked me to let you know what I chose to spend my lovely Amazon voucher on. After a lot of very enjoyable browsing around, I have chosen a boxed set DVD of both series of "How Do You Want Me?". It's a sit-com from about ten years ago, which I remember enjoying very much at the time. Stars Dyl...
