Re: Threshers Wine shops

Re: Doctors surgeries

Yep, I remember the house surgery (but my doc's seats were rather confortable.) My current doc's surgery's a detached house, modified a bit, but nobody lives there as far as I know, though he owns it. A lot of dental surgeries are still pretty much specially-equipped houses. After all, houses are us...

Re: a joke

An older gentleman had an appointment to see the urologist who shared offices with several other doctors. The waiting room was filled with patients. As he approached the receptionist's desk, he noticed that the receptionist was a large unfriendly woman who looked like a Sumo wrestler. He gave her hi...

Re: Bread brands

My walk from digs to uni in Southampton took me past a bakery. The smell was fabulous: really set me up for a morning's study (or whatever.) Their bread was awful. When I went back to uni for a reunion last month I took a stroll back to the old digs and the bakery was knocked down. It's now a Tesco ...

Welcome to the juingle, firemansam!

Agree about them being better for lasting longer, but I never pulled the tooth-fairy trick (and I suspect Mum might have thrown a pink fit with blue trimmings if I'd left Toffo stains under my pillow!)
